The Young Living Farm in Mona, Utah

Young Living has developed one of the world's largest herb farms for the production of therapeutic grade essential oils. The farm covers over 1,600 acres and is located between Santaquin and Mona, Utah (one hour south of Salt Lake City, just off I-15). The Young Living Farm is the bedrock of Young Livings Essential Oils, which is one of only a select few companies in the world that is growing from seed, harvesting, distilling, producing, formulating, packaging, and marketing pure A-grade essential oils.

No matter what time of year you visit the Young Living farm, you will get an inside look at some phase of our planting and distilling operations. In the spring you will see the starts being planted and the fields being cultivated. In the summer and fall you will not only view vast organic fields of lavender, peppermint, clary sage, and other herbs, but you will also witness acres and acres of herbs being harvested by Young Living's custom-engineered cultivation equipment and distilled in Young Living's specially-designed stainless steel distilling chambers.

In the winter you will have a chance to watch the starts being planted and tended in the greenhouses. Young Living's specially designed and built distillers are the only stainless steel, vertical steam distillers in North America. Their design is based on the ancient tradition of distillation used in Europe, India, Egypt and other areas of the world. During the fall and summer months when distillation is in full production, the exotic herbal aromas that waft from the "cooker" will provide a treat for senses and a thrill for the imagination.

What a delight to stroll through Young Living's miniature-animal petting zoo, which is stocked with an Ark full of exotic creatures! There are Barbados sheep from South America, Zebus from Africa, miniature donkeys, pygmy goats, and exotic llamas. You will even find Bactrian camels, long-horned African Watusi, zebras, and one of the world's rare Zedonks--all tame, friendly, and unusual!

Riding in our authentic Old West wagon will captivate and charm you as much as our zoo. This 100-year-old wagon dates from the days of the first American pioneers, and is pulled by a team of imported Percheron draft horses, each weighing over one ton. The bird sanctuary nestled by the lake is an oasis where visitors can savor quiet moments of reflection. The flocks of winged creatures populating the sanctuary are a bird watcher's delight.

At the farm you can learn about organic gardening. Our organically grown vegetables, fruits, and berries are so fresh, wholesome, and appetizing, you might be tempted to take some home. You might also want to pick up some of Young Living's carefully-nurtured herb starts. You can watch these starts grow and flourish in your garden, as they scent the air with their intoxicating aromas and beautify your landscape with their breathtaking blooms. The Visitor's Center abounds with educational information about essential oils and our farm operations. You can even enjoy a refreshing drink and some delicious snacks at our deli. Tours leave every 30 minutes and last about one hour. The tours encompass the greenhouses, herb fields, distillery, petting zoo, bird sanctuary, and Visitor Center.
